FAQ

Your questions about snagging, answered.

A snagging inspection is a detailed, independent check of a property to identify defects, unfinished work and quality issues before you accept handover or complete a purchase. The result is a documented 'snag list' the developer or seller is expected to rectify.

Developers are obliged to rectify defects raised during the defect liability period. An independent inspection at handover protects your investment, avoids costly repairs later and gives you leverage before you sign the completion documents.

Ideally before you accept keys at handover. For pre-owned units, inspect before transfer. We also carry out re-inspections after the developer has completed the rectification works.

A room-by-room photographic report with every defect numbered, located and categorised by severity, plus recommended remediation and a summary you can submit directly to the developer.

We compile the snag list, submit it to the developer on your behalf if required, and can schedule a re-inspection to confirm every item has been closed out to standard.
